Point Recruitment is working on behalf of a well established manufacturer in Cambridgeshire to find a Prehung Operative to join their production team. This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse or production experience who is looking for a stable, hands on role within a growing business.
Main Responsibilities
- Assisting with general workshop production, including unwrapping and repackaging doors and door sets
- Sorting deliveries into the correct bins and checking labels to ensure items are sorted correctly
- Checking for damaged or missing items
- Carrying out regular perpetual stock takes in the warehouse
- Moving stock by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck
- Carrying out general warehouse and housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and health and safety standards on site
- Operating a range of woodworking machines
Skills and Experience
- Experience working within a warehouse or production environment is beneficial
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling
- Counterbalance forklift licence required
- Self motivated with a strong work ethic and team focus
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, listening and communication skills
- A calm, level headed approach, able to work well under pressure
Salary and Working Hours
£12.86 to £14 per hour
Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm (40 hours per week)
