The Role:
Point Recruitment is recruiting a Warehouse Operative for a well-established food production business in Cambridgeshire. This hands-on role involves moving materials and finished goods between dispatch, production and storage areas.
As a Warehouse Operative, you will help keep production supplied and stock records accurate throughout each shift. You will work closely with the dispatch and production teams, following food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver the correct pallets and quantities to production lines in line with the production plan
- Move completed pallets and prepare work areas with empty trays and pallets
- Complete production paperwork and traceability records accurately
- Carry out material compliance checks and report discrepancies to the Area Leader
- Work with dispatch and production teams to maintain stock accuracy
- Operate electric pump trucks safely and in line with site procedures
- Keep equipment and work areas clean in line with hygiene and GMP standards
- Follow site food safety and health and safety requirements
Skills/Experience:
- Previous warehouse, material handling or production experience is essential
- Comfortable using electric pump trucks
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Accurate when completing paperwork and stock movement records
- Able to communicate clearly and manage competing tasks during a busy shift
Salary & Working Hours:
- £13.71 per hour
- Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00
- Every other Saturday, 07:00–12:00
