The Role: TIG Welder
We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join a growing manufacturing business in a permanent, full-time position. This role is ideal for a skilled TIG Welder with a strong background in stainless steel sheet metal fabrication who takes pride in producing high-quality, precision work.
Based on-site, this permanent TIG Welder position offers long-term stability, excellent earning potential, and the opportunity to work as part of a close-knit and supportive production team. The business operates within a specialist manufacturing environment, delivering high-quality fabricated components and continuing to invest in both people and equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
• Carry out high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel sheet metal components
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal products in line with engineering drawings
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards
• Work closely with the production team to meet daily and weekly deadlines
• Identify, report, and support the resolution of production or quality issues
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Adhere to all company health & safety and quality procedures
Skills / Experience:
• Proven experience working as a TIG Welder within a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Strong TIG welding experience on stainless steel (essential)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
• Competent using fabrication machinery and hand tools
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable:
• Experience with MIG welding
• Experience working with aluminium or mild steel
• Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification
Salary & Working Hours:
• Salary: £44,460 per annum
• Working Hours:
– Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
– Friday: Early finish
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
