The Role

We're recruiting a Sales Administrator on behalf of a well-established business based in Huntingdon. This is a key support role sitting at the heart of the sales team — keeping things organised, customers happy, and the sales process running smoothly from enquiry through to order completion.

Main Responsibilities

  • Processing sales orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Handling incoming customer enquiries via phone and email, providing prompt and professional responses
  • Preparing quotations, proposals, and documentation to support the sales team
  • Maintaining and updating the CRM system, ensuring customer records are current and accurate
  • Liaising with internal departments — including operations, logistics, and accounts — to coordinate order fulfilment
  • Supporting the sales team with administrative tasks including meeting prep, reporting, and data entry
  • Monitoring outstanding orders and proactively following up on delivery timelines
  • Handling any post-sale queries or issues and escalating where appropriate

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a sales support, sales administration, or customer-facing admin role
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical, organised approach to workload management
  • Confident communicator — both written and verbal — with a professional telephone manner
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook; CRM experience is an advantage
  • Ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A team player who is equally comfortable working independently

Salary & Working Hours

Salary: £25,000–£28,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, (37.5 hours per week)

Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire — office-based
