The Role: Quality Manager
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to join a leading manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, permanent position based on the outskirts of Peterborough, offering significant influence within a growing organisation.
You will play a key role within the site operations leadership team, responsible for driving product quality, ensuring compliance with ISO9001:2015, and championing continuous improvement across the facility. If you are passionate about delivering excellence, leading a quality function, and implementing robust root-cause solutions — this role will give you the platform to make a major impact.
Main Responsibilities (Site Quality Manager):
• Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the site quality team
• Ensure all products meet customer and regulatory requirements
• Process and investigate customer complaints and returns, ensuring timely feedback and corrective actions (8D & NCR)
• Drive improvements in Cost of Quality, scrap, and Right First Time performance
• Maintain and ensure full compliance with ISO9001:2015 standards and certification
• Oversee calibration and maintenance of all gauges, jigs, fixtures, and inspection equipment
• Support new product introduction, PPAP submissions, and capability studies
• Conduct audits, enforce quality standards, and support production in problem resolution
• Deliver quality training and promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and commercial teams
Skills & Experience (Site Quality Manager):
• Experience working in a manufacturing quality leadership role
• Strong working knowledge of ISO9001:2015
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor quality teams
• Background in root cause analysis and CI tools (8D, CAPA, SPC, FMEA etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confident working with customer and supplier quality stakeholders
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for operational excellence
Salary & Working Hours (Site Quality Manager):
• Salary: From £40,000 per annum — negotiable for the right candidate
• Bonus: Performance-based bonus of up to £6,000 per year, paid quarterly
• Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid break)
• Location: Cambridgeshire
