The Role: TIG Welder

Are you an experienced TIG Welder with a high level of skill in working with Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, or Aluminium? This is a fantastic temporary-to-permanent opportunity to join a respected local manufacturer offering varied and rewarding work. Based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, this position involves working on a range of bespoke products to meet customer and production demands — ensuring no two days are the same. You’ll be working from engineering drawings, fabricating parts to exact standards while maintaining safe working practices.


Main Responsibilities (TIG Welder):

• TIG welding of Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, and Aluminium
• Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings
• Producing accurate, high-quality welded assemblies
• Working safely with full PPE and welding equipment
• Contributing to a positive team environment and meeting production targets


Skills/Experience (TIG Welder):

• 3–5 years’ TIG welding experience, including aluminium
• Strong understanding of welding principles and joint strength
• Ability to interpret fabrication and engineering drawings
• Reliable, hardworking and committed to producing consistent quality
• Team-focused with a positive, collaborative attitude

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a weld test.


Hourly Rate & Working Hours (TIG Welder):

£14.00 – £17.50 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
40-hour week
