Our client based in Huntingdon is currently recruiting for a Production Operator to join their growing manufacturing team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, ensuring products are produced to the highest quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This role would suit candidates with previous experience as a Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Machine Operator, Factory Operative or Warehouse Operative who are looking for a stable, long-term career.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operating and monitoring production machinery
- Basic machine setting and machine minding duties
- Feeding raw materials into production equipment
- Carrying out quality control inspections and checks
- Packing finished products ready for dispatch
- Ensuring production targets are achieved
- Assisting across different areas of the production department as required
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety
- Reporting any faults, defects or production issues to supervisors
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment is essential
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Comfortable undertaking manual handling duties
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn new skills
Hourly Rate & Working Hours:
Rotating weekly shift pattern:
- 06:00 – 14:00, Monday to Friday
- 14:00 – 22:00, Monday to Friday
