Job Title:               Planner

Salary:                    £35,000 to £40,000 Plus benefits 

Our manufacturing Huntingdon based client are looking for a permanent Planner to help with accurate planning to ensure maximization of timings. Working to a

high standard of accuracy. The ability to communicate clearly & in a timely manner, whilst prioritising according to department deadlines.

Main Responsibilities for the Planner:

  • OTIF led by the capacity plan
  • Optimising product/machine routing to minimise make-readies between sizes/styles.
  • Use ERP (SPOCS) to identify constraints in future periods; balance uneven production demands and identify potential capacity resource constraints with manpower.
  • Adjustment of machine availability pending shift changes (eg. Seasonal / demand)
  • Develop process to foresee challenges to scheduling with Operations Manager by tracking output.
  • Provide KPI data and output reports to Operations Manager such as ACTUAL vs estimated output.
  • Liaise/coordinate with sales & supply chain, ensuring materials/plan satisfy delivery date.
  • Identify and alert Operations Manager of inaccuracies in ERP (SPOCS) input/output error.

Experience required for the Planner:

  • SPOCS ERP expertise preferrable but not essential. (SPOCS by KM software systems)
  • A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance
  • Able to get on with others and be a team player
  • Ability to work in a changing environment
  • Keeps clam under pressure
  • Structured problem solver with an open mind
  • Willing to seek help
  • Confident presenting schedule Infront of 6 members of senior management

Hours of work for the Planner:

  • Monday to Friday 37.5 hours 7.30am to 3.30pm
