Operations Manager

The Role

Point Recruitment are partnering with an established and growing organisation to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to lead and develop their operational teams. This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are consistently achieved.

This role will suit a driven Operations Manager who enjoys improving processes, developing teams, and delivering measurable performance improvements. You will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring the smooth running of all operational functions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operational and production activities across the site
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are consistently achieved
  • Oversee production planning, scheduling and resource allocation
  • Monitor operational KPIs including productivity, downtime, efficiency and delivery performance
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency
  • Lead, motivate and develop supervisors, team leaders and operational staff
  • Ensure strong health & safety standards and compliance across the workplace
  • Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability
  • Manage operational budgets and monitor costs including labour, materials and overheads
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including planning, quality, HR and senior management

Skills / Experience

  • Proven experience in an Operations Manager within a Manufacturing or Production setting
  • Strong leadership experience managing teams within an operational or manufacturing environment
  • Experience driving continuous improvement, efficiency and process optimisation
  • Strong understanding of health & safety compliance and operational best practice
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing performance through KPIs and operational metrics

Desirable

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies

Salary & Working Hours

  • Competitive, dependent on experience
  • Monday to Friday, full-time
