Production Operative
We are recruiting for a Production Operative on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Cambridge. Working on a shift basis, you will carry out a range of production activities to a high standard, operating within a quality-focused environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working in a production setting with heavy lifting equipment and process chemicals.
Main Responsibilities
- Carrying out production activities including surface preparation, preparation of coating chambers, testing of production loads and datalog review
- Production loading using jigs and fixtures in line with production planning
- Packing and despatch of completed work
- Fixture management, maintenance and repair
- Completing daily, weekly and monthly checks on coating chambers and ancillary equipment
- Following all company health and safety procedures
- Maintaining housekeeping standards within the department
- Contributing to process improvement activities
Skills and Experience
- Willingness and availability to work shifts, including nights
- Capable of meeting the manual handling requirements of the role
- Full UK driving licence
- A forklift truck licence is desirable but not essential
- Good IT literacy is beneficial
Salary and Working Hours
Monday to Friday
0600 until 1400
1400 until 2200
2200 until 0600
£27,000 per annum with the opportunity for overtime
