We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented production operative to join a reputable and well-established client of ours in St Neots.

In this role, the production operative will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and sub-assemblies in a busy production environment.

Main Duties: 

  • Assemble mechanical parts using hand tools

  • Read and interpret assembly instructions

  • Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets company standards

  • Maintain a clean and organised work area

  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets

  • Stamping parts with use of a machine

  • Measuring and cutting material to tight tolerances using cutting machines

  • Flushing with either a lubricant or pellets

  • Taping finished products

  • Bagging finished goods

Skills / Experience

  • Previous production operative or mechanical assembly experience (preferred)

  • Good attention to detail and manual dexterity

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices

Pay & Hours

Monday to Friday 

0600 until 1400 / 1400 until 2200

On weekly rotation

£14.42 per hour for the first 12 weeks rising to £15.60 per hour
