The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Fleet Administrator to join a busy operational team supporting the management and coordination of company vehicles. This Fleet Administrator role is ideal for a strong administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and playing a key role in keeping fleet operations running smoothly. As a Fleet Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicle records, maintenance schedules and compliance checks are accurately maintained while supporting the wider fleet team.

This Fleet Administrator position is based on-site in Peterborough (Etton WRC, Waterworks Lane, Glinton, PE6 7LP) and is offered on a temporary contract for up to 12 weeks, with an ASAP start available from week commencing 16th March 2026. The successful Fleet Administrator will join a well-established organisation within the utilities sector that plays a vital role in maintaining and supporting essential infrastructure services across the region.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate fleet databases including vehicle allocations, driver movements and new vehicle records

  • Ensure servicing schedules, MOTs and fleet maintenance records are up to date

  • Liaise with vehicle tracking providers and generate reports as required

  • Review weekly vehicle check reports and escalate any issues

  • Prepare and manage monthly vehicle road tax documentation

  • Notify managers of any incomplete vehicle safety checks

  • Order fuel cards for new starters and replacements where required

  • Monitor fuel spend and mileage through reporting systems

  • Complete regular driving licence checks for employees

  • Manage administration relating to parking penalties, driving offences and vehicle incidents

  • Maintain hire vehicle records and ensure vehicles are off-hired on time

  • Support the Fleet Services Manager with supply chain coordination and operational meetings


Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role (fleet experience desirable but not essential)

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

  • Confident working in a busy, fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Full clean UK driving licence


Salary & Working Hours:

  • Salary: £25,000 equivalent (circa £13 per hour)

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

  • Contract: Temporary assignment for up to 12 weeks

  • Location: Etton WRC, Waterworks Lane, Glinton, Peterborough, PE6 7LP (on-site daily)
