Purpose of the Workshop Operative:

Our client in Chatteris are expanding and looking for a Workshop Operative to become a key part of their production department on a permanent basis.

Main Duties for the Workshop Operative:

  • Read and interpret basic manufacturing drawings
  • Assist with folding flashings using a press brake
  • Cut materials using a guillotine prior to folding
  • Support the fabrication and assembly of products
  • Work as a proactive workshop operative to maintain high production standards

Skills & Experience for the Workshop Operative:

  • A reliable and conscientious work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling in a fast-paced environment
  • Good alpha/numerical skills
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
  • Willingness to learn and be trained across different tasks – ideal for a motivated workshop operative
