Main Purpose of the Warehouse Production Operative:

This is a multi-functional role supporting the warehouse and production operations, ensuring smooth workflow of Goods-in, dispatch, quality inspection and production.

Responsibilities and Duties for the Warehouse and Production Operative:

  • Ensuring incoming goods are correctly signed for and received in good condition.
  • Unpacking, checking quantities and condition, booking in, basic inspection and putting away of purchased items.
  • Working with purchasing/sales to resolve day-to-day queries on deliveries.
  • Inputting authorised stock movements.
  • Forklift duties in unloading wagons as well as any other duties within factory.
  • Picking, packing goods to dispatch through transport network.
  • Booking goods to ship on transport through TMS.
  • Basic assembly, sub-assembly and final assembly of items in accordance with manufacturing work instructions
  • Test finished product in accordance with manufacturing instructions.
  • Ensure all safety procedures & regulations are followed and engage in safety initiatives to improve procedures.

Experience, skills for the Warehouse and Production Operative:

  • Working in warehouse environments
  • Competency in IT applications and numeracy
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Forklift (Ideal, however would train)

Hours of work for the Warehouse and Production Operative:

Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.45pm Friday 8.30am to 4.15pm

The Warehouse and Production Operative post is a permanent post, based in St Neots. The team is small, the environment is clean and tidy, friendly and welcoming.
