The role would suit a methodical, technically capable individual who takes pride in accuracy and is comfortable working across both a warehouse and a technical service environment.

Main responsibilities

  • Prepare tooling, equipment, and materials for shipment in line with shipping orders
  • Generate pick lists, packing slips, and associated shipping documentation including certificates of origin, commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations in compliance with IATA regulations
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet requirements and are correctly protected against damage
  • Coordinate with freight carriers for collections and provide freight quotations and tracking information
  • Receive incoming products and materials, carry out receiving inspection, and process paperwork
  • Perform calibration and repair of equipment, including the production of calibration certificates
  • Test and troubleshoot manufactured assemblies and equipment to identify and correct faults
  • Program process controllers and load or update software in equipment as required
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation including materials used, time expended, and bill of materials verification
  • Initiate and process non-conformance reports and required documentation
  • Maintain the equipment database and adhere to quality manual procedures

Skills/experience

  • Two or more years of technical or electrical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to test and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment
  • Working knowledge of electricity, electronics, and hand and soldering tools
  • Ability to read a multimeter
  • Experience with service calibration and final quality control inspection
  • Proficiency with PC systems including low-level operating environments and serial communications
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, technical documentation, and correspondence accurately
  • Comfortable working in both a warehouse and technical service environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and record keeping
