The Role: Welder Fabricator

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Welder Fabricator to join a long-established and highly respected engineering manufacturer. This hands-on Welder Fabricator role offers the chance to work on bespoke equipment supplied to both UK and international clients. The position would suit a motivated and experienced Welder Fabricator who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working on varied fabrication projects.

Based in the UK, this is a permanent, full-time Welder/Fabricator position within a stable and growing manufacturing environment. The successful Welder/Fabricator will join a close-knit production team, working both in the main workshop and occasionally supporting site-based activities where required. The company operates within a specialist engineering sector and has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability and long-term customer partnerships.


Main Responsibilities:

• TIG welding stainless steel from 1.0mm – 12mm thickness, including pipework and purge welding
• Fabrication of bespoke equipment to engineering drawings
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, understanding tolerances and bend allowances
• Operating fabrication and sheet metal machinery
• Working within production and site teams as required
• Maintaining high standards of quality engineering both in the workshop and on-site
• Adhering to Health & Safety, hygiene and inspection standards
• Maintaining excellent timekeeping, discipline and attendance


Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Strong TIG welding experience, particularly with stainless steel
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience with sheet metal and fabrication machinery
• Understanding of tolerances and fabrication processes
• City & Guilds qualifications in Welding/Fabrication or a recognised apprenticeship (advantageous)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
