Telesales Exec

We're recruiting a Commercial Sales Executive on behalf of a growing, well-established business operating in the energy sector, based in the St Ives area of Cambridgeshire. This is a full-time, permanent position for a motivated, target-driven sales professional looking for a role where performance is recognised and career progression is a genuine possibility.

This is a B2B telesales-focused role, sitting within a dedicated commercial team and reporting to the Commercial Manager. You'll be proactively contacting prospective business customers, handling inbound enquiries and building a strong pipeline of opportunities across multiple sectors and regions. Main Responsibilities:

  • Proactively contacting potential business customers through outbound cold calling to introduce and promote products and services
  • Handling inbound enquiries from prospective customers, providing clear and accurate information on products, pricing and service benefits
  • Delivering structured, persuasive sales pitches and effectively communicating value propositions
  • Identifying and understanding customer needs to tailor solutions to specific business requirements
  • Consistently working towards and exceeding individual and team sales targets and KPIs
  • Accurately recording all customer interactions, sales activity and account details within the CRM system
  • Managing and resolving customer queries, concerns and complaints professionally
  • Building a strong pipeline of opportunities across multiple sectors and regions
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the commercial proposition and internal systems

Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in a B2B sales or telesales role — essential
  • Experience in the energy or fuel sector — desirable but not essential
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Comfortable handling objections and closing sales
  • Self-motivated, resilient and target-driven
  • Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail, particularly in CRM data entry
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, performance-focused environment

Salary & Working Hours:

Competitive base salary plus commission structure. Full-time, permanent position. Monday to Friday, office-based. Further details on salary and hours will be provided upon application.
