Stores Operative

Our client, a well established and highly regarded supplier, is looking for a reliable Stores Operative to join their inventory team on the late shift. This is a good opportunity for an experienced stores or inventory professional to work within a busy, quality focused environment, carrying out quality checks, processing returns, and moving stock safely and efficiently.

Main responsibilities

  • Process and quality check returned goods
  • Put stock away using forklift and lifting equipment
  • Carry out quality inspections and identify damaged or faulty goods
  • Accurately document returned stock and update records
  • Liaise with relevant departments regarding stock issues
  • Check for damaged or missing items
  • Load and unload deliveries
  • Maintain accurate stock records
  • Undertake manual handling and heavy lifting as required

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of two years' stores or warehouse experience
  • Counterbalance forklift licence desirable but not essential
  • Experience with returns and quality checking preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills
  • Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
  • Reliable, punctual, and team focused, with a positive and proactive attitude

Salary and working hours
£14.00 per hour
40 hours per week, working 12pm to 8.30pm - Monday to Friday
