The Role: Soldering Operator
We are currently seeking a dedicated Soldering Operator to join a growing electronics manufacturer in the local area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, detailed assembly work and wants to build their skills within a supportive production environment. As a Soldering Operator, you’ll be assembling, soldering, testing, and packing a range of high-quality electronic products used across multiple industries.
This is a full-time permanent position, offering stability, ongoing training, and the chance to master PCB assembly and electronic build processes. The company prides itself on maintaining high standards, making this Soldering Operator role ideal for someone with great attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Main Responsibilities:
• Carry out conventional PCB soldering and assembly
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly tasks
• Operate automated electronic test equipment
• Inspect and maintain the quality of your own workmanship
• Follow detailed assembly instructions and production documentation
• Support the Production Supervisor to ensure smooth workflow
• Handle materials, pick and pack goods as needed
• Carry out occasional heavy lifting as part of the role
Skills/Experience:
• Ability to use hand assembly tools (essential)
• Good hand-soldering skills (desirable – full training provided)
• Ability to follow assembly drawings and written build procedures
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic PC literacy (training provided)
Salary & Working Hours:
• Full-time permanent role
• Monday to Friday working pattern
