We're recruiting a Recruitment & People Coordinator on behalf of a large, well-established utilities organisation based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. This is a part-time temporary position working 30 hours per week, with an expected end date of March 2027, paying circa £14.26 per hour. The role offers a mix of office and home working — a flexible arrangement that will suit someone looking for variety, purpose and a genuinely people-focused day-to-day environment.
Interviews are ideally scheduled for Friday 25th September, so we'd encourage early applications.
This is a coordinator role at the heart of the recruitment and people function, supporting everything from interview scheduling and candidate communication through to onboarding, reporting and process improvement. You'll be a central point of contact for candidates and hiring managers alike, keeping multiple activities running smoothly and ensuring everyone has a positive experience throughout. If you're highly organised, confident with technology and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality support, this is a role where you'll genuinely make a difference.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinating recruitment activity including arranging interviews, assessment events and meetings
- Supporting candidates and hiring managers via phone and email throughout the recruitment process
- Managing diaries and scheduling across multiple priorities simultaneously
- Maintaining accurate, compliant and up-to-date records and databases
- Supporting onboarding activities and ensuring a smooth new starter experience
- Producing reports and working with data and spreadsheets to support the wider team
- Creating, maintaining and improving process documentation and guidance
- Organising recruitment events, workshops and assessment centres as required
- Acting as a key point of contact across recruitment and people processes
Skills/Experience:
- Exceptional organisational and administrative skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities
- Strong diary management and coordination experience
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Confident using Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word and SharePoint
- Good understanding of data accuracy and confidentiality requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills — comfortable engaging with candidates, hiring managers and colleagues at all levels
- Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Able to manage your own workload independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience in recruitment administration or coordination — beneficial but not essential
- Experience organising events, workshops or assessment centres — advantageous
Hourly Rate & Working Hours:
Circa £14.26 per hour (FTE equivalent £27,449). Part-time, 30 hours per week. Temporary position expected until end of March 2027. Based in Huntingdon with a mix of office and home working.
