The role
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a keen eye for accuracy and a practical, hands-on approach to your work? We are recruiting a Quality Technician on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Huntingdon. This is an immediate-start temporary position with genuine long-term potential for the right person.
Working within a dedicated quality department, you will play a key role in supporting material and product testing activities, ensuring all processes are carried out accurately and in line with internal quality standards. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or develop their career in quality, though candidates with a background in testing, inspection, or quality control are highly desirable.
Main responsibilities
- Conduct raw material testing.
- Perform mechanical and product testing,
- Carry out dimensional measurements using micrometers and pi tapes
- Accurately record and maintain test data and associated documentation
- Ensure all testing is completed in line with internal quality standards and procedures
Skills/experience
- Previous experience in a testing, inspection, or quality control environment (preferred but not essential, full training will be given)
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, process-driven approach
- Good manual dexterity and practical, hands-on ability
- Reliable, committed, and able to work consistently to a high standard
- Comfortable maintaining accurate records and documentation
Hourly rate & working hours
- Hourly rate: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour, dependent on experience
- Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
- Friday: 07:30 – 15:00
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break daily
- Total hours: 39 hours per week
