£42,000 to £48,000 plus benefits

 

Plumbing and Heating Engineer:

Our client is looking for a full-time permanent Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join their very friendly estates team. The position is based in Huntingdon and covers 5 sites locally. Ensuring delivery of high-quality servicing, repairs, and installations of plumbing and gas systems as part of planned and reactive maintenance works across all sites.

Duties for the Plumbing and Heating Engineer:

  • Provide technical advice and recommendations for system improvements.
  • Monitor and manage energy usage with the site, identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in the implementation of energy saving initiatives to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
  • Service, repair, and install plumbing systems and commercial gas appliances heating systems across various locations.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance PPM and compliance checks.
  • Complete and maintain accurate job records using electronic systems.
  • Gas Safety inspections and commissioning of new installations.
  • Conduct Gas Safety regulations and company H&S standards.

Essential skills / qualifications for the Plumbing and Heating Engineer:

  • Valid ACS commercial gas qualifications (COCN1 or CODNCO1) and commercial modules (CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1)
  • Proven experience working on commercial gas systems.
  • Knowledge of current Gas Safety and H&S legislation.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, Heating or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong fault finding and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and own car.

The Plumbing and Heating Engineer is subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.

37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 08:00 am - 16:00 pm, Friday 08:00 am - 15:30 pm
