CNC Milling Machinist
£35,000 - £36,500 plus overtime and benefits
Permanent CNC Milling machinist Engineer is required by long established and respected engineering manufacturing company based near St Neots.
Duties for the CNC Milling Machinist:
- This interesting and varied “hands on” role is building various equipment.
- You will be able to Program / set and operate CNC Machine Centre using Fanuc or Heidenhain control.
- Materials used are mainly Stainless Steel materials with some small amounts of other material.
- Understanding and reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment, understand tolerances and do your own self checking.
- Assist in the day to day running of the factory production areas and jobs allotted to your control in accordance with the schedules and completion dates assigned.
- The keeping of good order, motivation and discipline while working the factory / site.
- To uphold the correct use and maintenance of equipment used on the shop floor.
- Health & Safety – Risk assessments / Method statements.
- To offer Customer support while working on site, looking at all scenarios in reducing machinery down time.
CNC Milling Machinist experience required:
- City & Guilds Qualifications / Apprentice in Engineering would be an advantage.
- The ability to understand engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.
- Fanuc or Heidenhain control knowledge
CNC Milling Machinist hours of work:
Monday to Friday 39 hour Monday – Friday / Early finish on a Friday, Overtime available at higher rates of pay
