We are recruiting a Bench Joiner on behalf of a well-established and respected bespoke joinery business based in Huntingdon. Known for producing high-quality, one-off joinery solutions, this is a business that takes real pride in exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a collaborative workshop culture.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled craftsperson who enjoys working on varied, bespoke projects from start to finish in a modern, well-equipped workshop. You will be responsible for manufacturing custom joinery pieces to exact specifications, ensuring every item meets the highest standards of quality and finish before installation. Main responsibilities
- Cut, prepare, and machine timber to precise specifications
- Manufacture and assemble bespoke joinery items ready for on-site installation
- Apply both traditional and modern joinery techniques to achieve high-quality results
- Read and accurately interpret technical and workshop drawings
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting agreed deadlines
- Monitor stock levels and report material shortages or defects
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail and quality throughout the build process
- Work in accordance with health and safety regulations and best practice
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and professional workshop environment
Skills/experience
- Proven experience as a Bench Joiner within bespoke joinery manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of traditional and modern joinery techniques
- Competent use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Experience working on high-end or one-off joinery projects (desirable)
- Reliable, organised, and deadline-focused with a flexible approach to changing project requirements
Salary & working hours
- Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- Hours: Monday to Friday
