Welder Fabricator 

£18.00 per hour plus benefits and overtime available at higher rates.

We are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our client's well-established and respected engineering manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves building a range of high-quality equipment for both UK and export clients.

Based in the production facility, this is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to work on varied projects using stainless steel and advanced welding techniques. Main Responsibilities for the Welder Fabricator:

 

  • Welding and fabricating stainless steel components (1.0mm – 12mm thickness)
  • Working with both TIG and Synergic MIG welding processes
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Fabrication using sheet-metal machinery and tools
  • Understanding tolerances and bend allowances
  • Working in the production facility or on-site as required
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, production, and inspection procedures

Skills/Experience for the Welder Fabricator:

  • Experience in welding and fabrication, especially with stainless steel
  • Proficient in TIG and MIG welding techniques
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Ability to use fabrication and sheet-metal machinery
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • City & Guilds qualifications in Welding and Fabrication or completed apprenticeship in an engineering environment (advantageous)

 

Hours of work for the Welder Fabricator:

39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (early finish on a Friday)
