£26,000 plus bonus and benefits 

Our client based in Bar Hill is looking to expand their team in the warehouse. They are looking for a reliable, detail-focused warehouse Operative. This is a hands-on role primarily focused on packing, labelling, scanning, and preparing customer orders for despatch. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as the work completed at this stage is the final step before the product reaches the customer.

 

Main duties for the Warehouse Operative: 

  • Pick, check, pack and prepare products for despatch.
  • Pack boxes securely and appropriately to protect products during transportation.
  • Accurately label boxes, packages and shipments.
  • Scan jobs on and off the SAP system at the appropriate stages of the process.
  • Check product, quantities, paperwork, labels and shipment details before despatch.
  • Ensure full traceability of products through the despatch process.
  • Operate a forklift safely and responsibly when required.
  • Load and unload deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe despatch area.
  • Follow all company procedures relating to quality, health & safety and product handling.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damaged goods, incorrect documentation or labelling issues.
  • Work closely with production, stores, logistics and other departments to ensure orders are despatched on time.
  • Take ownership of the quality of your work and ensure orders are right first time.
  • Potential to learn and develop in depth knowledge of logistics and opportunity to progress within the role.

 

Skills for the Warehouse Operative:

  • Forklift licence. Ideally a full clean driving license.
  • Has good attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.
  • Is comfortable using computer systems and scanners.
  • Understands the importance of accurate labelling, scanning and documentation.
  • Can follow procedures and work methodically.
  • Is reliable, organised and able to manage priorities.
  • Works well as part of a team but can also work independently.
  • Understands the importance of product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • A flexible individual who may be required to pick up/deliver urgent packages.

Hours of work for the Warehouse Operative:

Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.45pm and Friday 8am to 12.30pm
