Warehouse Operative 

£26,000 to £28,000 plus benefits

Our client based in Huntingdon are growing their warehouse and have a permanent opportunity to join their friendly team. 

The Warehouse Assistant will support the Warehouse team in maintaining the smooth running of operations and ensuring customer demands are met efficiently and effectively. The role involves picking and packing quantities of stock, standing or walking for most of the shift, learning to use a forklift as the job grows.  

Duties for the Warehouse Operative:

  • Moving merchandise 
  • Unloading and loading vehicles
  • Compliance with relevant Health and Safety standards
  • Picking and packing goods to a high level of accuracy whilst maintaining our high standards
  • Performing accurate goods in checks and put away
  • Labelling packaging, products, unpacking and also repacking goods, without damage
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by performing general housekeeping where necessary

Skills required for the Warehouse Operative:

  • Previous warehouse experience is advantageous
  • Good time keeping and organisational skills
  • A capable mindset, being able to carry out high-intensity teamwork
  • Accurate counting abilities and a clear capability of checking different dates and lines on incoming and outgoing products
  • The ability to follow clear instructions
  • A motivated and hard-working attitude
  • The ability to work in a warehouse environment, either on your own or as part of a larger team
  • Forklift would be an advantage, however not required (Happy to train) 

Hours of work for the Warehouse Operative:

Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm
