Warehouse Operative

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, ISO9001-certified manufacturer and supplier based in the UK. This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse operative with a valid counterbalance forklift licence to join a busy inventory team on a permanent late shift.

The role

Working within the inventory department, you will carry out quality checks on returned goods, process customer returns, and move stock safely using forklift equipment. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to manage manual handling and heavy lifting as part of your day-to-day duties.

Main responsibilities

  • Processing and quality checking returned goods
  • Putting stock away using forklift and lifting equipment
  • Carrying out quality inspections and identifying damaged or faulty goods
  • Accurately documenting returned stock and updating records
  • Liaising with relevant departments regarding stock issues
  • Checking for damaged or missing items
  • Loading and unloading deliveries
  • Maintaining accurate stock records
  • Manual handling and heavy lifting

Skills and experience

  • Minimum two years of warehouse experience
  • Counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
  • Experience with returns and quality checking (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills
  • Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting

Salary and working hours

£14 per hour. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12pm to 8.30pm.
