The Role: Test Technician

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a hands-on and detail-oriented Test Technician to join an established and growing manufacturing organisation. The Test Technician will play a key role in ensuring electronic assemblies are tested thoroughly, accurately documented, and meet quality standards before release.

The successful Test Technician will work closely with Production and Engineering teams to identify faults, assist with diagnostics, and drive continuous improvement within the test function. Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct testing of electronic products using standard and bespoke test equipment
• Follow designated test procedures and accurately record pass/fail outcomes
• Identify and report defective assemblies or incorrect component fit promptly
• Assist in diagnostics and basic repair investigations
• Support the set-up and preparation of test interfaces for production runs
• Monitor, record and report test results and recurring issues
• Contribute to improvements in test methods and procedures
• Maintain logs of repairs and equipment faults within the test area
• Assist with training of other operators where required
• Support rework and repair activities
• Assist Engineering with process improvements
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised test area


Skills/Experience:

• Experience in a Test Technician or electronic production testing role
• Ability to follow structured test procedures accurately
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Basic fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to record and communicate technical findings clearly
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach to improvement
• Awareness of safe working practices within a production environment
• Willingness to learn new processes and support cross-functional activities


Salary & Working Hours:

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am – Midday
Flexible working arrangements may be available depending on business needs
