The Role:
Point Recruitment is recruiting a Production Operator for a well-established manufacturer in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. This temporary-to-permanent position offers training and opportunities to progress within the business.
As a Production Operator, you will help keep machinery running, check product quality and prepare finished goods for dispatch. The role suits someone with production, manufacturing or warehouse experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery, including basic machine setting
- Feed raw materials into production equipment
- Carry out quality checks and report any defects
- Pack finished products ready for dispatch
- Help the team meet production targets
- Work across different areas of the production department when required
- Keep work areas clean and follow site safety procedures
- Report machinery faults or production issues to supervisors
Skills/Experience:
- Previous manufacturing, production or warehouse experience is essential
- Good spoken and written English
- Comfortable with manual handling
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a team
- Willing to learn new skills and take on different tasks
Previous experience as a Production Operator, Manufacturing Operative, Machine Operator or Factory Operative would be particularly relevant.
Hourly Rate & Working Hours:
- £13.00 per hour
- Rotating weekly shifts, Monday to Friday: 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00
