Our client is a global supplier in the design, manufacture, and support of machinery for the various industries with one heavily aerospace. Due to the steady growth, they are looking for an additional Field Service Engineer to join the team.
The Field Service Engineer is a permanent post, working 37.5 hours per week within Monday to Friday, and whilst you’ll need to be flexible with start and finish times to meet business and customer needs, flexibility will be given with an early finish time where possible. Occasionally you may be required to work weekends for which overtime would be paid. Our client understands that being out in the field is hard and they make sure you are looked after at all times, nice hotels, good expenses paid, transport provided, time given to get to places etc, for full details on how much travel involved, please contact me.
What will this role of Field Service Engineer entail:
Reporting to the Service Manager and working as part of a team of skilled Service Engineers, you will regularly travel to customer sites in the UK and worldwide commissioning new systems and supporting existing ones.
When not on the road you will support equipment build within the workshop located in the St Ives area.
As part of our clients ISO9001 accreditation, they are committed to a documentation system which is integral to the working of the Service department.
Skills / Experience for the Field Service Engineer vacancy:
• Proven experience as an electro-mechanical Engineer, with appropriate qualifications
• Fault-finding skills
• Good customer facing and communication skills
• A strong team player, able to both learn and transfer knowledge within the team
• Be able bodied
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness and ability to travel across the UK and worldwide
Although not essential, experience in either Vacuum Systems and/or PLC programming is highly desirable.
