Data Platform Lead – Hybrid – £50,000 to £55,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits


The Role:

This Data Platform Lead position is a permanent, hybrid role based in Peterborough (with flexible working and only 2 days in the office). The successful Data Platform Lead will work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders, leading a small team and delivering impactful data solutions. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Taking full ownership of the Core Data Model as the Data Platform Lead

  • Shaping how data is structured, accessed, and used across the business

  • Delivering and improving Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions

  • Ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems

  • Leading and mentoring a small data team

  • Working closely with engineering and architecture teams to evolve the data platform

  • Translating business needs into clear, actionable data solutions

  • Acting as the go-to Data Platform Lead for all data and reporting queries


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Data Platform Lead or in a similar senior data role

  • Strong background in data modelling, analytics, and reporting

  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL

  • Good understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data environments

  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

  • Experience leading or mentoring others (desirable)


Salary & Working Hours:

  • £50,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Hybrid working (2 days in the office, flexible remainder)
