Our client based in the Ely area is currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a Counterbalance Forklift license to join their busy and growing team on a permanent basis. Working within a fast-paced warehouse environment, you will play a key role in the production and dispatch of customer orders while working as part of the late shift team. This position would suit someone with previous warehouse experience with a valid forklift license who is motivated, reliable and looking to develop within a long-term career opportunity.
Main Responsibilities:
- Taking delivery of goods and supplies
- Checking incoming deliveries for damaged or missing items
- Moving stock around the warehouse manually or using a forklift truck
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Loading goods with the forklift truck ready for dispatch
- Keeping stock records and paperwork up to date
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse
- Supporting the wider warehouse and logistics team as required
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working within a warehouse environment
- Forklift licence (counterbalance) is essential
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling duties
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Motivated with a calm and level-headed approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Looking to learn, develop and progress within the business
Hourly Rate & Working Hours:
- £14.15 per hour
- Enhanced overtime rates available
