We are seeking a talented Tooling Design Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting new tooling projects, providing technical support for tool rooms and managing modification quotes. You will play a key part in ensuring robust and effective tool designs, collaborating closely with internal teams and international toolmakers to drive excellence in manufacturing.

Main Responsibilities:

Ensure all duties are performed safely and efficiently in line with Health and Safety legislation

Provide technical support to the Tool Room regarding tooling queries

Develop general assemblies (GAs) from overseas sources to meet company standards

Collaborate with international toolmakers to ensure robust tool designs

Prepare and modify customer 3D models for tooling
-
Support customer meetings and conference calls to develop product and tool files

Attend internal and external meetings related to current and future work

Participate in tool trials domestically and overseas, as required

Advise internal and external Design Departments on optimum tooling requirements

Perform mold flow analyses on new and existing components to improve processes

Provide quotations for modifications based on customer files

Manage external tooling work, ensuring all relevant information is communicated

Undertake other duties as required by the Head of Engineering
Skills/Experience:

Proven experience in tooling design and development

Strong knowledge of CAD software and 3D modelling

Excellent technical and problem-solving skills

Experience liaising with international teams and suppliers
