The Role: TIG Welder

Are you an experienced TIG Welder looking for your next opportunity? This role offers the chance to join a busy fabrication and welding team, working on a wide variety of products in Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminium. You’ll be part of a skilled group producing high-quality work, with plenty of variety to keep the job both interesting and rewarding.

Based in a village location just outside of St Ives, this is a temporary to permanent position with a well-established manufacturer. As a TIG Welder, you’ll be contributing to the delivery of top-quality products while developing your skills in a supportive team environment.

Main Responsibilities (TIG Welder):

  • Apply practical knowledge of TIG/MIG welding techniques
  • Weld components in Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminium
  • Work safely with full protective clothing and welding equipment
  • Follow Health & Safety requirements at all times
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to meet product specifications

Skills/Experience (TIG Welder):

  • Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings
  • Strong knowledge of welding for strength and durability
  • 3–5 years’ TIG welding experience, particularly in Aluminium
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to complete a practical welding test as part of the process

Salary & Working Hours (TIG Welder):

  • £14.00 to £17.50 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Friday, 8:00am – 2:00pm
  • 40-hour working week
