Sales Administrator

We are currently recruiting for an Order Fulfilment Administrator to join a well-established organisation based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced administrative environment and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

As an Order Fulfilment Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring that customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately from start to finish. This is a varied position involving communication with multiple departments, handling documentation, liaising with freight providers, and ensuring customers receive exceptional service every time.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Process customer sales orders accurately and in line with company procedures.

  • Carry out dispatch administration duties and maintain detailed order records.

  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to meet customer delivery requirements.

  • Manage shipment arrangements, negotiating with freight couriers to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.

  • Check stock levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams.

  • Communicate order updates and provide relevant documentation to customers.

  • Verify courier invoices and maintain up-to-date tracking and proof-of-delivery information.

  • Contribute to process improvement and efficiency within the order fulfilment team.


Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or order fulfilment role.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and data management.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner.

  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment.

  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Full UK driving licence and own transport (due to office location) preferred.


Salary & Working Hours:

  • Salary: £23,492 per annum (DOE).

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, office-based role.

  • Based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
