R&D Technician

£40,000 plus benefits package

The Role of R&D Technician:

Our client are seeking an R&D Technician to support the testing and experimentation in their R&D laboratory area. In this role you will work autonomously using your own initiative in order to contribute to an increased level of understanding of current and future of the clients technology.

R&D Technician Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and co-ordination of complex R&D projects ensuring that projects are delivered on time
  • Design/implementation of work packages and experiements to meet project specifications
  • Planning and communication of project staus on a regular basis as well as final reports and presentations
  • Thorough understanding and experience operating and maintaining clients system technologies and ancillaries.

R&D Technician profile:

  • Minimum HNC in an electrical discipline (or equivalent qualification/experience)
  • Good electrical assembly background
  • Experience in testing and fault finding of electrical circuits
  • Mechanical and workshop experience ideal
  • Experience in vacuum systems, pneumatics, gas systems or automation is advantageous
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player – able to work within multi-disciplinary teams

 

The position of R&D Technician is a temporary one for 3 months initially.

Monday to Friday days (Short day on a Friday with Lunch provided)
