Production Operatives
£13.56 to £15.50 per hour plus overtime
Our client is an established production manufacturing company based in the Littleport area. The extrusion and machinery department are on the production floor, and they are looking for staff due to a continued growth in business to work either permanent days or permanent nights. (This is a temporary to permanent position.)
Main responsibilities for the Production Operatives.
· Operate various machines in a safe and productive manner ensuring Think Safety is maintained at all times and that work is manufactured to the correct quality as per the manufacturing specification and delivered on time as per production schedule.
· Maintain machine and working environment cleanliness and tidiness in accordance with Health and Safety requirements and/or policies.
· Complete all paperwork regarding each job ensuring accuracy against client and manufacturing requirements.
· Demonstrate a positive attitude for Continuous Improvement through 5S and Standard Work activities in order to reduce waste and duplication to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
· Assist with the training of others to ensure compliance, e.g. New staff/inductions
· High attention to detail, some of the process is repetitive, however very important and requires full attention. (There is no heavy lifting involved)
The Production Operative will be:
A credible and trusted professional, making good decisions, planning, organising and priority setting.
Managing Yourself with great attention to detail and operating discipline.
Good communication skills, active participation and collaboration.
Hours available for the Production Operatives
Perm days £13.56 per hour plus overtime Monday to Thursday 12 hours
OR
Perm nights £15.50 per hour plus overtime Tuesday to Friday 12 hours
