We’re recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy and growing team in the St Neots area. This is a full-time, permanent position offering variety, responsibility, and opportunities to develop your skills in a modern production setting.
The Production Operative post:
You’ll be working from detailed plans to cut, assemble, and build a range of aluminium-based components. The role involves using a variety of hand and power tools, inspecting materials, ensuring accuracy, and preparing items for dispatch.
Key Responsibilities for the Production Operative:
- Operate machinery including cutting tools, CNC routers, and bending equipment
- Assemble structural frames using aluminium and other materials
- Perform quality checks to ensure high standards are maintained
- Pre-fit printed or fabricated elements to confirm accuracy
- Support incoming deliveries and general stock handling
- Work closely with other departments to meet deadlines
The Ideal Candidate for the Production Operative post:
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Comfortable reading technical drawings or CAD layouts
- Confident using hand tools and workshop equipment
- Basic knowledge of low voltage electrics (12v–24v) is beneficial
- High attention to detail and a proactive team player
- Flexible with a strong work ethic and reliable timekeeping
Hours of work for the Production Operative:
Monday to Friday double days
