Paint sprayer
Location: Swavesey, Cambridgeshire Job type: Temporary to permanent Salary: £34,000 - £36,500 per annum
The role
We are recruiting a Paint Sprayer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business. This is a hands-on role within a busy production environment, responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a range of products and components to exacting standards of durability and appearance.
The role would suit someone with a solid background in paint spraying who takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality results and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. A good understanding of spray equipment, mixing systems, and health and safety procedures is essential.
Main responsibilities
- Operate spray guns and other painting equipment safely and efficiently
- Mix paints and coatings to specification
- Apply paint uniformly across a range of surfaces, maintaining quality standards throughout
- Perform minor repairs and touch-ups as required to achieve the desired finish
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with health and safety regulations
- Follow detailed instructions and collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
Skills/experience
- Minimum one year of paint spraying experience — essential
- Familiarity with paint spraying and mixing systems — essential
- Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures relating to spray painting and equipment operation
- Good basic maths skills for mixing paints and measuring components accurately
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Hourly rate & working hours
- Salary: £34,000 - £36,500 per annum
- Hours: Daytime hours, Monday to Friday
