MIG welder
Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk Job type: Permanent, full time Hourly rate: £13.50 - £16.50 per hour, dependent on experience
The role
We are recruiting a MIG Welder on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Mildenhall, Suffolk. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a skilled welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work consistently and is looking to join a stable, experienced production team.
You will be working in a busy manufacturing environment, carrying out MIG welding across a range of components and assemblies to exacting standards. The role would suit someone who is reliable, hands-on, and confident working independently as well as part of a team.
Main responsibilities
- Carry out MIG welding of components and assemblies to specification
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards
- Prepare and set up materials and equipment prior to welding
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Skills/experience
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of health and safety practices in a welding environment
- Experience with other welding processes such as TIG or MMA (desirable)
- Relevant welding qualifications (desirable but not essential)
Hourly rate & working hours
- Hourly rate: £13.50 - £16.50 per hour, dependent on experience
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
