MIG welder
Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk Job type: Permanent, full time Hourly rate: £13.50 - £16.50 per hour, dependent on experience
The role
We are recruiting MIG Welders on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Mildenhall, Suffolk. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for experienced welders looking for stability and a long-term role with a reputable employer.
You will be working as part of a skilled production team, carrying out MIG welding on a range of metal components and assemblies. This is a hands-on role where quality, consistency, and attention to detail are paramount. Day shifts only — no unsociable hours.
Main responsibilities
- Carry out MIG welding on metal components and assemblies to the required standard
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy
- Operate and maintain welding equipment safely and effectively
- Work to production targets and timescales
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Report any defects, issues, or non-conformances to your supervisor
Skills/experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good understanding of welding techniques and material properties
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Good time management and ability to work to production deadlines
Hourly rate & working hours
- Hourly rate: £13.50 - £16.50 per hour, dependent on experience
- Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, day shifts only
