Material Handler
£24,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits package

This role suits someone looking for a very active job that is challenging and stimulating, both physically and mentally. Effectively planning kanban material supply of bought in and in-house manufactured components to our client, using best practice and supply chain analysis, optimise inventory levels and maintain continuous material supply to the manufacturing line.
Material Handler duties:
- Identify and report low stock
- Placing and managing orders with suppliers
- Replenishing bin stocks
- Conducting routine inventory counts, raising issues and driving counter-measures to prevent reoccurrence
- Maintaining continuous improvement exercises to ensure stock levels are appropriate to current demand patterns and change Kanban cards according
- Reporting out daily on delivery accuracy at QDIP meetings
- Taking part in stock taking and owning weekly cycle counts is also an important part of this role.
Experience for the Materials Handler will include:
- Previous materials handling or manufacturing assembly environment experience
- Full understanding and experience with operations in a Kanban environment
- Experience with ERP software is essential, Oracle beneficial.
- Proven track record in a supply chain operational environment
- Demonstratable problem solver and trouble-shooter.
- Excellent communication skills
- Have good physical fitness and a proactive approach to spot and solve potential issues before they disrupt production.
