  • Maintain the fabric of the building and associated facilities, fixtures, and fittings to a safe and operational standard
  • Liaise with production, technical teams, and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities
  • Assist with the ordering, control, and storage of maintenance spare parts, consumables, and engineering stock
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, servicing, and repair records
  • Provide support and guidance to apprentices and less experienced team members when required
  • Comply with all health and safety, quality, hygiene, and environmental procedures at all times

  • Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds, apprenticeship, or equivalent
  • Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong fault-finding, repair, and preventative maintenance skills
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and respond effectively to breakdowns
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Committed to health and safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Desirable:

  • HNC/HND in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Multi-skilled engineering experience including electrical fault finding
  • Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and automated production systems
  • Experience supervising apprentices or contractors
