Electro Mechanical Technician
£27,300 plus excellent benefits
Our growing manufacturing company based in Royston have a new opportunity to join their assembly team.
The Electro Mechanical Technician will cover a variety of assemblies. Some of the duties below:
. Assemble test systems and sub-assemblies in accordance with design specifications and quality procedures
. Make connections to allow system alignment and setup prior to shipment
. Assemble special cables to drawing
. Keep work areas tidy and free from dirt/dust
. Work in a safe manner at all times and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, policies and instructions
. Play an active role as team member of the cell team, including assisting and training colleagues and making suggestions for improvement
. To participate in improvement programmes and projects as required
. Operate in a Lean and 5S manner, e.g. returning all tools to relevant storage board after use.
Qualifications / Experience of the Electro Mechanical Technician
. Minimum C level GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent
. Apprenticeship or City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
. Practical experience of using Lean techniques would be desirable
. Able to read and understand technical drawings and documentation
. User of mechanical lifting devices (crane/forklift)
. Able to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
. Proven experience of mechanical or electromechanical assembly in a factory environment, including practical experience of Lean techniques.
. Experience of implementing Health and Safety improvements
. Able to use multi-meters
. Proven experience of achieving production delivery deadlines, including standard build times
The Electro Mechanical Technician hours are a Monday to Friday days 37.5 (Flexible working hours)
