Data Improvement Agent

We are recruiting a Data Improvement Agent to join a busy data-focused team on a fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys analysing information, validating records, and improving data quality within a regulated environment.

As a Data Improvement Agent, your primary focus will be to improve data performance metrics within the non-household market. You will work through a defined set of records, validating and enhancing data accuracy by cross-referencing third-party sources, investigating inconsistencies, and ensuring all updates are correctly recorded in core systems. This is a structured, target-driven role requiring accuracy, organisation, and good communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Validating and improving non-household data records

  • Matching internal data against third-party data sources

  • Investigating unclear or inconsistent information

  • Ensuring all findings are accurate, validated, and auditable

  • Updating core systems with amended or confirmed data

  • Recording clear commentary on issues requiring handover to other teams

  • Working through allocated records within agreed timeframes

  • Communicating with internal or external sources to clarify information

  • Monitoring progress against targets and escalating risks where appropriate

  • Prioritising workloads based on set criteria


Skills / Experience:

  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy

  • Experience analysing data and validating information

  • Ability to use online tools, websites, and data sources to research information

  • Confident recording outcomes clearly and consistently

  • Comfortable updating and maintaining core systems

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

  • Ability to work to targets in a structured environment

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Experience using Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, etc.)


Salary & Working Hours:

  • Salary: Circa £30,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

  • Contract: 3-month fixed-term contract

  • Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

  • Flexibility: Part-time considered

  • Working Pattern: No weekends or bank holidays

  • Location: Hybrid working, Peterborough office-based
