Customer Service Advisor

The Role:

We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Advisor to join a growing team based in Peterborough, working on a part-time, permanent basis with a flexible hybrid working setup. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with people, providing outstanding support, and representing a well-established organisation that truly values its team.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be responsible for delivering an exceptional experience to every customer. You’ll handle outbound welcome calls and, as the service grows, take on a wider variety of inbound and outbound calls for commercial clients. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in excellent communication, attention to detail, and creating positive customer outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • As a Customer Service Advisor, make outbound welcome calls and handle inbound customer enquiries.

  • Provide clear, empathetic, and professional support to ensure every customer interaction is a positive one.

  • Resolve queries, complaints, and issues effectively, escalating when needed.

  • Accurately record information and update the CRM system.

  • Share ideas and feedback to help improve customer processes and service quality.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to build a strong, supportive, and high-performing team.

  • Participate in training and development sessions to strengthen your performance as a Customer Service Advisor.

Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.

  • A genuine passion for providing great customer service.

  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach when dealing with customer issues.

  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.

  • A flexible, team-focused attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Previous experience as a Customer Service Advisor or in a contact centre/customer-facing role is desirable.

  • Confident in using CRM systems and general computer applications.

Salary & Working Hours:

  • Salary: £11,500 – £15,800 per annum (depending on hours), plus shift allowance and monthly performance bonus.

  • Part-time hours: 18–25 hours per week.

  • Working pattern: Weekday evenings between 16:00 – 21:00, and Saturdays 12:30 – 18:30.
