Accounts Administrator

The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Administrator to join a busy, fast-paced accounts department in a varied, hands-on role. You’ll support day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail and meeting key deadlines.
Based just outside St Ives, Cambridgeshire, this is a full-time permanent position offering the chance to develop your skills within a supportive team environment. The role involves providing strong administrative and accounts support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process daily sales invoices, credit notes, refunds, remittances and statements

  • Manage customer queries and provide copies of invoices, statements and PODs

  • Assist with credit control and initial credit checks

  • Support incoming customer and supplier emails/phone calls

  • Process payment links, overseas customer invoices and online refunds

  • Update freight charges, spreadsheets and error logs

  • Assist with expenses, credit cards and month-end tasks

  • Provide support for year-end information requirements

  • General accounts administration duties

Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in an accounts role

  • Excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills

  • Confident with MS Office, particularly Excel

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and to accounting deadlines

  • GCSE Maths & English (C/4 or above); interest in or working towards AAT Level 2 is desirable

Salary & Working Hours:
Salary around £24,000 per annum DOE. Full-time position based outside St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
